The serious soccer fans among you might know that the King of Mobile Gaming, LeoVegas, is an official regional partner of Manchester City Football Club.
But what you might not know, is that LeoVegas recently posted a promotional video to its LinkedIn feed, featuring three Manchester City soccer stars tasting snacks from four different countries from around the world.
Their task was to guess which country each snack came from, and one of the featured snacks just happened to be Canadian. Could the players guess which dish was which? Read on and find out…
The Snack Roars Challenge
The three Manchester City players featured in the video were Jack Grealish, Aymeric Laporte, and John Stones. The Snack Roars challenge took place in a LeoVegas themed room with four covered silver serving dishes.
Each dish was set on its own pedestal and the players were given the following instructions: “Under each lid is a mystery snack. Guess which country it’s from and place your flag of choice to cast your vote.”
The four flags that the players had to choose from were from Sweden, Ireland, Canada and Denmark. Here’s how the action unfolded:
Snack 1 contained a pastry with hints of yellow in it. The fact that the Swedish flag also has yellow on it almost led Grealish to mischievously put that flag on the dish. Fortunately, the lads eventually opted for the more correct Danish flag to go with the Danish pastry.
Snack 2 was one that the footballers instantly recognised as a crisp sandwich and they quickly marked it with the flag of Ireland. To clarify, “crisps” in Britain and Ireland are potato chips, and a crisp sandwich is crisps sandwiched between two slices of bread.
Snack 3 was greeted by the question, “What is that?” from Grealish. Stones wondered whether or not it was “like a mince pie or something” and Laporte tried to get a clue by sniffing the curious item. The snack was actually one of ours – a Canadian butter tart.
Snack 4 was variously described by the players as “something fishy” that looked “horrendous”. It was very apparent that none of them was particularly impressed by the sudden switch from the butter tarts to more pungent fish paste crackers from Sweden!
Something for Everyone at LeoVegas
The video offered some entertaining banter with the Manchester City soccer stars, and certainly gave us some interesting new snack ideas for the office here at CasinoGuide HQ. The video also highlighted how fun it can be to try something different from time to time.
Both casino and sports fans can find a host of different betting options at the LeoVegas Sportsbook and Casino lobby. In fact, the very last shot of the video presented a nice visual summary from the brand, which urged viewers to “Experience the excitement of betting like never before!”
